We are Warp Corps

a collective of activists working to combat the epidemic of homelessness, substance use disorder, and mental health issues.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: prevention through engagement. We have creative, encouraging and positive programs, embracing individuality to tackle substance use disorder, mental health issues and support people without housing.

Through our original facility, Warp Skatepark, we gained years of experience working with youth. We believe everyone has their own organic passions that need to be identified, understood and nurtured to provide the best opportunities for success in life.

Clay Mutert
Head of business operations

Clay is a father and musician who grew up in Woodstock and joined Warp Corps full-time in early 2021 out of a desire to give back to the community that raised him. From event planning, to apparel sales and administrative work, to running sound at local shows at the HQ; Clay tries to do everything he can to help in Warp Corps’ mission to provide positive outlets to the youth and those who may be struggling. Being a part of the Warp Corps team has shown Clay just how special our community is, and he truly believes the work being done at Warp Corps can spark positive change, not only for his hometown, but for communities everywhere.

Andrew Turner
Director of Homeless/Street Outreach

Andrew began doing Street Outreach for Warp Corps in November of 2021. From going into the field to assist the homeless population however he can, to drumming at the Music Support Group/Youth Jam—everyday is a new adventure at Warp Corps. As a long time skateboarder and musician, Warp Corps provides the perfect opportunity for Andrew to use his passions to help others find and explore their own interests, while providing support for those that need it the most.

April Ramoni
Prevention Program Coordinator

April is an accomplished artist who brings a professional background of community planning and disaster preparedness to the team. April’s family is new to Woodstock, but she is no stranger to the kind of work we do at Warp Corps. As the Prevention Program Coordinator, April is excited to foster a love of art, music, and action sports through engaging activities and creative outlets. Check out our calendar of events frequently as our youth programs grow!

Tim Parker
Print Shop Lead

Tim is the Head of Warp Corps’ Print Shop and also assists with Street Outreach with our homeless population in McHenry County. Tim’s wife introduced him to Warp Corps in early 2022, and he instantly wanted to be part of the mission. Skateboarding and music are a huge part of his life, and Tim enjoys seeing a group of like-minded people doing what they can to have a positive impact in the community through music, art and action sports. Tim has lost a lot of close friends to drugs and suicide in the last few years and Warp Corps’ support of mental health and NARCAN training resonates deeply with him.

Warp Corps’ agenda and their programming are the next piece of the puzzle that needs to be implemented to reduce the number of people who even start down these paths of destruction and death.
